It has been a very exciting couple of months getting to know the local area and people and also hearing from people around the world about the art featured at Helix. The furthest we have sent works is Los Angeles and Dubai.
We need to think about the carbon footprint of RAE sending works to Sheffield from Brooklyn and then sending these onto Los Angeles and also back to New York itself.
As we are selling works globally, which is a testament to the quality of works from our artists, Helix will be making a big announcement in January.
Thinking about what we have achieved in 2 months, we are really hoping for a great year in 2018.
Happy New Year and a prosperous 2018 to all our friends, artists and customers.
It's been a month now and the gallery has been doing really well, lots of interest in the art and artists. Several great pieces have gone onto new homes and they will be missed.
Pop in and visit us if you get a chance, the coffee machine is always on!
Opened the doors with some great art on the walls and a really nice opening party. Great to see some new people as well as family and friends in the space. Some very positive comments about the art and the space so very happy. Be great to see some more people in the gallery obviously.
Foolishly forgot to take any pictures but after selling a couple of pieces and a couple of glasses of Prosecco, it slipped my mind. So here is a picture of a great Andrew Kinsman piece right next to my desk.
Well I suppose the first post has to confirm that the opening date of the gallery will be Thursday October 5th 2017. After numerous tins of white paint, new flooring and new lights, things are taking shape. After buying some nails and a coffee machine together with a table and chairs, I think we are near to being in business.
Still a few outstanding things including a shop sign but we're confident we can get everything done by the 5th.
There will be an opening evening on the 5th October, starting at 6pm and everyone is welcome. If you can make it, can you drop me an email so I have an idea of numbers.
Many thanks and hope to see some of you in the gallery
